Garden-Themed November Wedding with Outdoor Wedding and Reception at Shiraz Garden
Mallory and Adrian November 2021
It is an honor to see a variety of cultures represented at Shiraz Garden so often. Shiraz does not cater to one style or one monochrome pallet. The gardens, views, and more are for adventurous couples who want their wedding to stand out from the rest. And this sunset ceremony in November, followed by the most joyous celebration, was just that!
Bride’s Review
Shiraz Garden was a dream. The atmosphere is just totally beautiful. We barely had to spend on decorations because the venue is just so beautiful by itself. So many guests complimented how nice it was. The property is also huge and so there are so many different beautiful places to take pictures. The staff that worked with us on the day was great. I can’t remember the girl’s name but she was so sweet. And we got to meet the owner Ricky a few times. What a great guy. He obviously cares so much about the property and each and every wedding that happens on it. He took us on our walkthrough with our photographer and we liked a certain spot by the river, but it was full of sticks and leaves. He promised to clear it out for us and he did! We are so happy we chose Shiraz. It was a lovely day because of this gorgeous property.
PLANNING TEAM & PHOTOGRAPHER BEHIND THE DETAILS
RosePOP Parties, one of Shiraz Garden’s Recommended Planners serving Austin and beyond, kept this day on schedule. The magic never ends with a stunning wedding everyone is still talking about. Read why this planning team loves to work at Shiraz Garden here.
RosePOP Parties is one of our favorite ATX Wedding Planning teams because they “get it” when it comes to guest experiences and using the vast spaces at Shiraz Garden to the fullest! Never a dull moment when they are around because they have helped our couples to think about all the ways to keep guests engaged and the reception memorable!
This day was captured so beautifully by Chie Endo Photography.
Possibly the most gorgeous website we’ve ever seen - take a look to be swept away by Chie’s editorial style and flare for whimsy.
This is what Mallory and Adrian had to say about working with her: "Wow, Chie is truly amazing! Her photos turned out better than we could have imagined. When the one thing we get to keep from our wedding day is the photos, I wanted to make sure I loved at least a few. I loved way more than a few. Every photo of our huge gallery is stunning! She’s just so talented, her editing is perfect, and she’s a fun person to work with! What more could you ask for? When we went on our venue walkthrough with her, we could tell how passionate she was about her work and getting the photos that we were hoping for. So happy we went with her."
GARDEN-THEMED AUSTIN WEDDING RECEPTION
A garden-themed wedding is obviously one of our favorites here at Shiraz Garden! The use of bud vases so easily compliments the natural beauty and gardens around the property. A playful garden theme with various florals is a great way to keep the reception feeling light and casual with an air of whimsy.
Our favorite “garden theme” element to this day, though, was their use of the very lightly colored moss green napkins and details. That color was so stunning with their amber bud vases, various floral colors, and the natural colors in the Formal Garden at Shiraz.
The color was almost the same as the antique Egyptian garden dates that are the art pieces for our couple’s Grand Engraces! See them in the background as these newlyweds make their way into their reception. ATX couples looking for a casual, chic but unexpected wedding venue love what the vistas here offer and the beautiful gardens.
CEREMONY AT SUNSET VISTA
November was the perfect setting for this dreamy Hill Country wedding day, don’t you think? The light through the trees was so gorgeous in all their ceremony photos. November weddings in the Austin area are always some of our favorites because the trees are really starting to turn. This early November day still had mostly green, but many years by mid-November, the tress have started to give a variety of shades.
The bride and her dad walking up the forested path to Sunset Vista is always a favorite photo from this outdoor ceremony space. In every direction you look at Sunset Vista, there are beautiful trees and beautiful views!
RIVER-SIDE BRIDE AND GROOM’S PORTRAITS
This couple really wanted to spend extra time by the Colorado River and we were more than happy to help. Our staff worked hard right before their big day to prepare the space they did several of their portraits right on the banks of the Colorado River so they would have easy access, and the photos turned out beautiful.
They took photos on the River Amphitheater as well as several forested paths along the river. Shiraz Garden is an expansive estate venue on the Colorado river providing endless photo opportunities to our couples who love the outdoors.
If you love the outdoors and the river than Shiraz Garden should be on your wedding venue list!
