Ok, but back to the big thought here: if you invite 10 fewer people, that’s 10 fewer meals, 1 less table, 1 less linen, 1 less centerpiece, 10 fewer chairs, 10 fewer name cards, 10 fewer favors, and 30-40 fewer drinks (as Paige Vaughn Photo apply says). Talk about major savings that could add up to $1000+ of savings.

Another element to the guest list is vendors that have guest limits too. For instance, some bartenders will only serve 50 guests per bartender, or 70 guests per bartender, etc. So as soon as you go over a threshold you are bumping into two staff members (two bartenders, two instead of one security officers, and so on).
