Hill Country November Wedding | Shiraz In-House Coordination & Recommended Vendors

If there was ever a sweeter bride than Kenna, we haven’t met her! It was a joy to work with Makenna and Dylan on their incredible Hill Country wedding with the most stunning golden hour photos and an overall amazing vendor team.

BRIDES REVIEW

11/05/22 was our PERFECT day! We booked shiraz 8 months in advance, and the planning began. For anybody considering booking Shiraz, you absolutely must and will not regret it. This venue is so unique and so beautiful, if you have any guest traveling in from out of town this will show them the beauty of what Austin is built on. Kalli the venue director is so sweet and so kind, I wanted her to come to the wedding! She was so helpful from day one, a rockstar on communication. Any little question that arose, she responded in lightning speed and included links, recommendations, and facts she goes above and beyond in any which way she can to help you. I chose to go with Brittani the in house coordinator, she is was absolutely incredible. She worked her freaking tail off, anything that was an issue small or big she took care of it with a smile on her face. These two women are incredible, this venue is incredible. You will not regret it!

CEREMONY AT SUNSET VISTA AND SOMETHING BLUE

“Something blue” is often a fun detail to a bride’s details. Often something blue is understated and small, like a piece of jewelry of blue ribbon on the bouquet. For Kenna, she decided to lean into a classic blue color design and bring in a stunning vintage blue car for her arrival to ceremony!

Yes, this bride arrived at the ceremony in this classic car with her dad for an unexpected and memorable arrival to her wedding ceremony to the love of her life.

WHAT DID YOU CHOOSE, SHIRAZ GARDEN?

Shiraz gardens are magical, so unique, and stunning. I love the fountains, the views, and the layout! Nothing compares. As a girl that grew up in Amarillo (flat lands and dirt), this is a fairy tale location, I CANNOT wait until my family sees this incredibly stunning place. Trees, hills, water, everything that convinced me to move to the Texas hill country.

ADVICE FOR NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES LOOKING FOR A HILL COUNTRY WEDDING

Things will not always go your way, don't panic. There are a billion vendors out there. Use the contract from day one! So many things could have been simpler if I would have used the contract instead of my "the knot" checklist. Kalli is absolutely incredible, I cannot say this enough. She was soooo helpful, she has a heart of gold, and for her, I will forever be grateful!

LOVE STORY

Oh, how I love this story. We met St Patrick's day 2018. I was bar hopping early that Saturday morning and around 3 pm I stumbled into the bar Dylan was managing, rockeys piano bar in Round Rock. My friend at the time knew instantly, she said to me Makenna, that's your guy. She snuck my number to him while I went to the bathroom. After about a month of texting, he finally got the courage to ask me on a date. That date turned into us spending the next 3 days together, we could not get enough of each other. It was so natural, I felt like we had known each other our whole lives.

PROPOSAL

Ahhh, the proposal!!! We were headed to Vegas for a combined birthday trip(we are five years and four days apart). The first night there, he wanted to take me to a special dinner I had my suspicions but didn't want to get my hopes up to much. We went to dinner at the Paris hotel, and then walked over to the Bellagio, he started sweating bullets. There he asked a random couple to take our picture, I go to look at the first picture to confirm it was a good one, as any girl would, and when I turned around, there he was on one knee with the prettiest ring! I was elated, I knew I wanted to marry this man very early on! It took him six months to call me his girlfriend, so I constantly made the joke it would take him six years to propose, after a month of living together, he knew I was "the one," much to my elation!
