MULTI-DAY HINDU AND AMERICAN WEDDING WEEKEND | DAY 1 AT SHIRAZ GARDEN FOR ANNIE AND ADI’S COLORFUL HINDU CELEBRATION

3.4.22 Annie and Aditya Hindu Wedding Celebration at Shiraz Garden

Annie and Adi came to Shiraz Garden just as the sun set on a late evening, with only a few hours to spare before their flight home to California. These two are living their best lives in tech and interior design in San Francisco but made their way to Austin for a destination wedding and multi-day celebrations of their union.

Note from the couple…

We are very excited to celebrate our wedding at the venue and look forward to planning the event over the next few months. Because we want to provide our guests with a memorable weekend, we thought it would be particularly special to conduct the Hindu wedding outdoors at Shiraz Garden and the Western wedding the following day at a different, nearby venue.

ORANGE AND TERRACOTTA WEDDING COLORS MIXED WITH TRADITIONAL INDIAN GARLANDS

Anni and Adi had a color-wonderful celebration with the most stunning orange, red, yellow, and pink florals from Unforgettable Floral — a Hill Country Florist with amazing talent. The use of bold colors against the wintery landscape of early March was the perfect paring to give it depth and an iconic look. Weddings with orange colors across all cultures are still a primary color choice we see in Hill Country weddings, and we hope to see well into the future.

These stunning florals are part of their ceremony at Sunset Vista overlooking the Colorado River valley.

MULTI-CEREMONY CELEBRATION WEDDING VENUE

Shiraz Garden is proud to host various cultural weddings and fusion celebrations. We often hear, “we are looking for a venue that speaks to our history but where we can bring in modern and non-traditional elements too.” Indian couples looking for a Hill Country Wedding venue will find Shiraz to bring just enough unique features to help them, and their families celebrate in full color but with a modern twist!

We are happy to offer our standard packages, but we also offer a “Mulit-Ceremony” Package that can be added to allow for a morning ceremony, evening ceremony, and reception.

BARAAT AND OONCHAL - SHIRAZ GARDEN

The bride and groom are seated on a swing or Oonchal, where they rock back and forth as the ladies around sing Laali, or songs to praise the couple. The chains of the swing signify the eternal Karmic link with Almighty above, and the to-and-fro motion of the swing represents the ups and downs of life. We love seeing traditional Indian wedding traditions at Shiraz Garden in the Hill Country.

The Baraat, is the traditional procession of the bridegroom during and Indian Hindu wedding, and it is always a highlight! The music, energy, and fun of the moment are always grand when the group makes their way up to Sunset Vista for the ceremony.

Note from the coule…

Just wanted to thank you for all your help throughout this process and especially for accommodating our unique day. We are excited to get married at Shiraz Garden.

MOHAN OUTLOOK BRIDE AND GROOM PORTRAITS

Of course, these two had to head to Mohana Outlook for those epic newlywed photos with the amazing views at the top of the Hidden Staircase. This is a must-see space at Shiraz Garden and usually perfect lighting at sunset for the golden hour, post-ceremony portraits!
