Marie and Chachi - Casual Chic Hill Country Wedding in April | Artists getting married

Marie and Chachi, our forever romantics who we'll always cherish and be so glad they choose us as the backdrop to their special wedding day.

Marie & Chachi, or as they so cleverly refer to themselves as "Mariachi," became one of those lucky Shiraz Garden couples after they toured and fell in love with the garden aspects of Shiraz, the winding paths, and romantic spaces scattered throughout to give their guests a unique experience.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue in the Austin area that offers charming, casual elegance, look no further than Chachi and Marie’s Hill Country Wedding for inspiration at Shiraz Garden.

Chachi and Marie’s wedding at Shiraz, located in the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country just outside Austin, was truly magical. From the moment you drive up to Shiraz, you feel like you are in for a special treat, and that is exactly how their guests experienced their weekend celebrating these two! The unique setting, with gorgeous gardens and intimate spaces, created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed yet stunning wedding. There was a dreamy feel to this wedding, with touches of blues and romantic tones with vintage decor to accent the day.

BRIDE AND GROOM FIRST LOOK

SHIRAZ GARDEN - HIDDEN STAIRCASE & ROMANTIC PORTRAITS FROM THEIR DAY

Seeing Marie come up the stairs to meet Chaci for their first look was so artfully captured by Rebekah. The mood is nearly physical in these photos, and we love it. We had to add a few more portraits from around the property at the top of this blog because they were just too good to wait until the end.

Rebekah is a recommended and pre-approved vendor at Shiraz Garden. Meaning she knows all the secret spots and is there to make each wedding unique and explore the hidden gems with her couples.

OUTDOOR AUSTIN CEREMONY

SHIRAZ GARDEN - SUNSET VISTA

This ceremony was full of laughter and intention. The dark colors of the wooded area behind Sunset Vista were the perfect dramatic touch to an otherwise casual and artistic vibe throughout their ceremony.

The angles and the real moments Rebekah captured are so unique and special!

Chachi is from Oklahoma, and Marie is from Georgia — they met in Kansas City while attending art school. They can't quite remember when their first encounter was, but they seem to remember it being at a party... maybe.... according to Chachi. What they do know is that after six years, they didn't want what they had to end, so Chachi proposed while camping in Arkansas.

"We have an anti-cookie cutter mood about life. We are both easygoing and are NOT in a hurry to do everything *just right*. Life is chaos, and we're just riding the waves. I'm super outgoing, and Marie is a little.....less that way; we strike a great balance that non of our friends thought would work. WELL, WE SHOWED THEM."

wrote Chachi on his initial contact form through their photographer’s website — and that description was so perfect! We just loved this so much we had to share it here too!

These two are quite opposites, as in more common than not! But the best part of their coming together to make a perfect team was also evident on their wedding day. The perfect blend of bold and soft, and energetic and intentional. There were beautiful moments of the bride and groom warm embraces and lots of kisses throughout the day. This is what they mean when they say, "their love was so evident!”

TIME TO CELEBRATE
