Fusion Wedding with Funky Details against a Classic Garden Wedding Theme in Austin, TX

CLASSIC ELEGANCE, DESIGN, AND PERSIAN ELEMENTS - THE PERFECT FUSION WEDDING

Rachel and Amir are an amazing couple we adored working with during their engagement and wedding day. Rachel had a fantastic vision to bring forth her creativity and love for the outdoors and highlight Amir’s Persian background.

Getting to know Rachel over her year of planning was a dream — she has such an eye for creating unique designs that were one of a kind but classic and meaningful all at the same time. We hope you enjoy looking back at this lovely late April day as we have!

The fusion wedding of color, pattern, history, and classic elegance is one to bookmark for inspiration! Shiraz Garden loves hosting couples of various backgrounds, but Persian couples have a special place in our hearts. Shiraz Garden was named after our father’s hometown of Shiraz in Southern Iran. The fountains, waterfall, vistas, and fruit trees are all an ode to his home and our family’s heritage. We love sharing that with Persian families who feel an extra sense of belonging and “home” at Shiraz. Our Persian Rugs are authentic hand-knotted rugs from Iran and an extraordinary touch for the dance floor, lounge, and other places to give your wedding an artistic touch that is hard to replicate.

Amir is a chef, and we met years before and talked about food and celebrations over Nowruz, Persian New Year. It was a delight to hear from Amir and Rachel years later when it was time for their wedding day! Amir had also introduced us to Pearls and Saphires, our go-to Persian Wedding Recommended Vendor for florals and traditional sofrehs in the Hill Country. Working with the couple and this amazing vendor team made this a special day for everyone involved!

PINK FLORALS + BLUE WILLOW PATTERNED WEDDING DESIGN

Before we jump into the ceremony, a first look at this fantastic wedding design is required! A mix of pinks and blues in weddings is a gorgeous trend that has been picking up steam in 2023. Typically the pinks are the centerpiece with a touch of blue florals here and there for an added bit of surprise. But this wedding has a blue and white design with pops of pink as a reverse of the normal. This color scheme allowed Rachel and Amir to have fun with their design and personal details, like adding bold Persian Rugs that complimented the otherwise serene wedding theme.

ATX PHOTOGRAPHY HIGHLIGHT - SUAREZ CREATIVE

We adore all our Recommended Photographers, but Albert is one was can sing praises about for days and days not only for his talent but his incredible kindness and attentiveness to his couples. The very first wedding Albert captured at Shiraz showed he saw his work as an essential part of someone’s life story and the reality of the weight of that job. He has a great presence on wedding day that everyone loves, bringing calm and laughter. He has a unique photography style that feels story-life and full of authenticity. We highly recommend him to all our couples, especially those like Rachel and Amir wanting a relaxed and casual tone of effortlessness. And Albert delivered on that 10-fold!

THE GETAWAY CAR & CEREMONY ARRIVAL

Baby Blue Drives for You is a stylish getaway car our couples love! The father-daughter duo behind this amazing wedding day detail are fantastic to work with and always a treat at Shiraz weddings.

SPECIAL CEREMONY ENTRANCE

Our brides getting married at Sunset Vista delight their guests and have the most fun arriving at their ceremony in the classic 1950s Bel Air. Guests love it, and it gives our brides a chance to have a unique and memorable entrance to their outdoor ceremony. Then their dad, or special person(s), helps them out of the car, and they walk together up the granite forest path to their ceremony overlooking the Colorado River valley.

Then our couples use the Bel Air as their getaway car also! Having the Bel Air for your ceremony arrival and getaway means it’s there for extended time for guests to enjoy as a photo backdrop and at Shiraz during golden hour for amazing photos.

As always, Shiraz has proven to be just so amazing to photograph and have some of the best couples I could ever work with. I loved every second with Rachel and Amir.

Everytime I leave Shiraz, it's with a big smile from ear to ear. So grateful for the opportunity, always.

BRIDES ADVICE TO COUPLES:

Don't underestimate how much the "small stuff" adds up... decor, linens, etc. Def put that into your budget! And try to just have fun with it... it really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's a process :)
