Nikoo and Daniel - Perfect venue for our Persian Bride

“We just want to ensure everyone's having fun and feels included on our big day. We want to spend as much time together and with our guests during the reception, and want the timeline to flow well for the day” Bride & Groom

Nikoo and Daniel chose Shiraz Garden for their fusion wedding, highlighting their cultures with a special place in Nikoo’s heart to help celebrate her Persian culture! Shiraz Garden is named after the beautiful town of Shiraz in southern Iran, where the owner is from. Shiraz has a long history as a beautiful town known for its gardens, fountains, and flowers.

They chose Amanda, of Photos by Mkay, a Shiraz Garden preferred photographer! Amanda is intimately familiar with the venue and able to make day-of decisions to keep the day moving smoothly! Having a photographer keyed into your day and the venue is so helpful!

WEDDING DESIGN - hill country wedding

Nikoo and Daniel wanted their wedding to be structured enough to have the timeline flow nicely and not be unorganized, but they didn't want to be so involved in the details. They wanted to avoid things like place cards and having a seating chart since most of our friends and family know each other, and we would like the day to feel organic in this way. They trusted Shiraz Garden’s In-House Coordinator, Brittani to take care of the details and create the perfect blend of organized but casual atmosphere they wanted!

WHY DID THEY CHOOSE SHIRAZ GARDEN FOR THEIR HILL COUNTRY WEDDING

“We chose Shiraz Garden because of the gorgeous views and the unique architecture and accents like Persian rugs that remind me of my homeland of Iran. We're planning to have a Persian ceremony after the traditional ceremony, which we're really excited about since we found a venue that celebrates and compliments our culture." - Bride

“We're looking forward to spending the entire night on the dance floor and celebrating our marriage with our loved ones.” Bride & Groom

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE - AUSTIN WEDDING GUIDE

”Kalli is an amazing resource and can answer your questions and help make recommendations based on her experience. If you get stuck at any point of the planning process, ask her for her advice. For planning a wedding in general, go into it expecting it not to be perfect. There are so many little decisions to make, but you feel so much better when you make them.

You might change your mind closer to the weddinng day, and that's okay. My experience with all of the recommended vendors has been that they are so sweet and so excited to help you bring your vision to life, even if that means you changed your mind on the details from last year when you started planning the wedding”

Persian Wedding - Austin Texas - Sofreh Aghd

Imagine stepping into a vibrant tapestry woven with love, tradition, and symbolism. That's the essence of a sofreh aghd, the centerpiece of a Persian wedding ceremony. Picture a beautifully curated spread brimming with objects, each whispering wishes of abundance, fertility, and unwavering love for the soon-to-be-wed couple.

For Persian brides planning their dream wedding in Austin or the Texas Hill Country, incorporating the sofreh aghd promises an unforgettable experience. It's more than just a decorative element; it's a window into the soul of Persian culture, infusing your wedding with meaning and richness.

Nikoo and Daniel did both! They had their sofreh aghd setup just off from the main aisle and ceremony space but still with a great view for everyone to see both ceremonies!

A Symphony of Symbols:

Each item on the sofreh aghd tells a story. Mirrors reflecting hope and unity, pomegranates bursting with blessings of fertility, and fragrant rose petals symbolizing love and joy – every detail paints a vibrant picture of the couple's future together. Imagine saying your vows against this backdrop, surrounded by the blessings of generations past and the whispers of a cherished heritage.

Beyond Tradition, a Personal Canvas:

While the core essence of the sofreh aghd remains timeless, modern couples can personalize it to reflect their unique love story. Imagine incorporating elements that speak to your shared passions, hobbies, or cultural backgrounds. A vintage camera reflecting your love for photography, a book of poems that ignited your romance, or even a hand-painted canvas showcasing your journey together – the possibilities are endless.

Austin and the Hill Country: A Perfect Setting:

Nestled amidst the rolling hills and vineyards of the Texas Hill Country, Austin offers a breathtaking backdrop for your Persian wedding. Imagine exchanging vows under the warm Texan sun, the sofreh aghd adorned with local wildflowers and seasonal fruits, creating a fusion of Persian tradition and Texas charm.

Whether you envision a grand celebration under the stars or an intimate gathering in a rustic winery, Austin and the Hill Country promise a canvas that beautifully complements the timeless elegance of the sofreh aghd. Let your wedding be a symphony of cultures, where Persian tradition seamlessly dances with Texan hospitality, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Embrace the magic of the sofreh aghd and let your Austin wedding be a love letter to your heritage, a celebration of your love, and a testament to the enduring beauty of tradition.

Shiraz Garden’s Authentic Persian Rugs Collection

Bride’s Review: We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. Starting with Kalli, she was wonderful and knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect date for our wedding and answered all of our questions. Her open houses were also incredible and helped us get familiar with the space so we weren’t stressed on our wedding day. I went with most of the preferred vendors Kalli put together on the site and everything was perfect, and they all communicated so well with one another. The venue was so stunning and unique and you can really make it your own. We added the Persian rugs for the aisle and dance floor and it was the most beautiful addition, I highly recommend it. Every single person who works here is so sweet and helpful, they really have the most wonderful team. We went with Brittani, one of Shiraz Garden’s in house coordinator and we were so grateful we did. She went above and beyond to make the day perfect. We were really able to enjoy the day because of her without worrying about details or timelines. She just told us what we needed to do and what was next and really was able to bring the vision to life. Everyone was asking us why we didn’t seem nervous or stressed, and a big part of it was because Brittani and the Shiraz team really handled everything and we got to enjoy our day. I could go on and on about how much I love everything about this venue, but most of all I loved that there’s a Persian wedding venue right outside Austin Texas with the most gorgeous architecture. It felt so unique and special to me as a Persian bride. I just can’t believe it was so perfect, and all of my family and friends loved the venue too.

How they Met: “We met in pharmacy school and started dating at the very beginning of our second year. We knew of each other the first year, but we sat next to each other in class one of the first days of school, and had a conversation that sparked an instant connection. We went on our first date the next night, and we've been inseparable ever since.”

The Proposal: “Daniel surprised me on our graduation day by renting a beautiful house on Lake Travis and hosting a graduation party for us with our close friends and family. He wanted to give a speech thanking everyone for their support through our journey through school, but the speech ended in a proposal that the people we love the most got to be a part of.”
