Something you enjoy about Shiraz weddings that are unique? 

Shiraz is a particularly beautiful venue that doesn't have the same look like many of the outdoor venues around Austin. We love that there are separate, designated areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to keep the guests moving around the venue and keeping their energy high.

There is nothing more difficult than getting guests to dance the night away when all 3 parts of the wedding are in one location - once guests find their dinner table, they sit and stay put... and get tired...and don't dance.

What is a fun characteristic of your Ideal Couple? 

Ideal clients for RosePOP are couples who value their guests' experience above all else. Of course, they want a beautiful wedding but they would rather prioritize their budget on awesome music with a professional emcee, entertainment and unique, fun additions that their guests will remember for years and years to come (typewriter poet or interactive bar anyone?!). Shiraz Gardens is so beautiful on its own there isn't a need to add much decors anyways! (Which is why it is one of our absolute favorite venues!).

Great couples for RosePOP are also couples who are excited about their wedding but know this isn't the only special day of their life. They want everything to run smoothly and to have a blast but don't expect absolute perfection. Perfection doesn't exist in events but a calm, stress-free, smooth event does exist and we are here to make that happen for you!

What are your top tips for couples getting married or newly engaged?

Vendors, general marriage advice, etc -- specific or broad! Remember to enjoy your engagement! This will be the only time you are getting ready for a life together and it is exciting and full of happiness. There are going to be so many people who give you opinions and make requests but remember this is YOUR day and it is literally the only party in your life where you can do whatever you want and whatever is meaningful to you as a couple. So make the plans that you want. There will inevitably be additional stresses in your life - maybe you are moving, buying a house, working to blend families, finishing school, etc - so don't be afraid to spend the extra money on professional help that will allow you to take care of other life things and, again, ENJOY YOUR ENGAGEMENT! Your wedding is going to be an expensive party so spend money on services that will help you where you aren't as confident. We promise it will be worth it in the end.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ROSEPOP PARTIES

As a small team of planners, we are incredibly collaborative and work hard to always be learning from each other and each event's experience. As our client you will have one planner/point of contact assigned to you but you are receiving all of our combined knowledge and ideas - many planners for the price of one. We are adaptable and flexible and happy to help you create an unconventional, out-of-the-ordinary wedding! We are also conscious to help you to reduce your event waste. Over the past decade in the industry, we have seen so much food, gorgeous flower arrangements, and other event items thrown away at the end of the night. We can help advise you on what to spend your money on that will have a memorable impact vs something that may just end up in the trash. We can also advise you what to do with anything left over so that it can continue to be enjoyed after your wedding day.

Each person on our team has different favorite aspects of planning an event but we all absolutely love running the event day. We love (and feel super comfortable) making the quick adjustments that inevitably come up to make sure everything runs smoothly. We also love seeing the couple and the guests spending quality time together catching up and getting to know each other.
