I cannot adequately put into words with this venue has meant to us from the start. It’s about a 20 minute drive from Austin in between Bastrop and Austin. GORGEOUS. Absolutely STUNNING. The best part of this venue, is their manager, Kalli Fullerton Doubleday. This woman is absolutely incredible; from the first call we made, until the day of she was everything from a planner (not officially), friend, and organizer. She answers emails within 5 minutes most of the time and the concerns I had she immediately helped manage. Kalli Fullerton Doubleday will be a long time friend of mine. She made our wedding process, as seamless as it could have been. I WISH I COULD SCREAM FROM THE TOP OF MY LUNGS HOW GREAT THIS WOMEN IS
Tell us about the proposal!
Jacob proposed on Christmas Day in Lafayette, La (where I am from). He had my mom pretend we needed to take family pictures- and when it was our turn, he got down on one knee. Best moment of my life- my whole extended family popped out of the bushes to surprise me!
Why did you choose Shiraz Garden?
The venue just spoke to us! The raw beauty of the property, the water fountain in the formal gardens- it is the perfect place to bring our "Dancing in the Moonlight" vision come true. And Kalli of course!

Wedding Planner, Day of Coordinator: Micayla Moore with The Moore the Marry Her. I am a planner, type A- I was looking forward to planning my wedding, and did not want to have a planner throughout the process but one just for our day. After my first call with Micayla, I knew I wanted her opinion and, more importantly, her friendship. She was so kind, organized, and quick to always respond during the planning process. It was so much more than just the day of. She was everything I didn’t know I needed. The day of, she handled EVERYTHING. From setting up to dealing with vendors, she even took my linens home with her so I didn’t have to mess with them.
Both of these women made our day so much more than we could have ever hoped.
Not in the Austin area, but the best food and band I have ever experienced at a wedding are Rouge Krewe Party Band, and Stacy’s Catering from Lafayette, Louisiana. If you are looking for a traditional sit-down wedding, very elegant, this is not for you. If you are looking for the BEST PARTY OF YOUR DAMN LIFE, HIRE THESE PEOPLE FROM LAFAYETTE. And on the plus side, they were SOOOOO much cheaper than any band in the Austin area and ten times better.

I have had at least 40 people text me about our food and band. The food was SO GOOD, their filet literally melted in your mouth, and I will show pictures of the band and the party they provided.
We spent most of our budget ($40,000) on these two factors and did fewer flowers, medium-tier photography, and not many decorations. (YOU DO NOT NEED DECORATIONS OR MANY FLOWERS AT SHIRAZ IT’S THAT BEAUTIFUL)
Lights: Altered Events WOW the lights!!! Just incredible. Dancing in the moonlight was an understatement.
