Terracotta + Desert Vibes - Boho Wedding at Sunset Vista
Clark and Sarah were in it together from the start. The moment we met this sweet couple we knew their wedding would be special. They planned, dreamed, and built all of their décor and special touches themselves with a bobo, desert colored dreamscape as the result.
Sarah and Clark choose an all-star vendor team to bring their day together so all the focus was on them and their guests with no stress!

FLORALS & DECOR — DIY by the couple and friends!
When you hear “boho” a few things come to mind. A lacy gown, dessert colors, and asymmetrical design for flowers and décor. Thankfully Sarah is an artist in her own right and was able to use her skills and aesthetic eye to create a dream boho wedding mostly herself with the help of talented friends!
They spend a few months collecting pampas grass, drying flowers and bunny tail grass, painting vases and handmaking terracotta place cards. It all came together in the most beautiful way, winning the #DIYwedding award for 2020 at Shiraz Garden!
The VOWS
Sarah and Clark got married at Sunset Vista on a beautiful OCTOBER day with the Large Oak as their backdrop. They built their dessert colored shapes for their added pop of color at the ceremony and then transitioned them to the reception against the Shiraz Garden greenery wall! THEN this backdrop became their headboard at home. What an amazing use of décor we must say.
WEDDING PARTY
These two not only have talented friends who helped with décor, signing at the ceremony, they were also full of fun and boldness we couldn’t get enough of!
Sarah had a FIRST LOOK with her bridesmaids at the bottom of the Hidden Staircase, just outside the Bridal Cottage, for an big reveal they were all waiting for!
FIRST LOOK
Before Clark and Sarah made their way to the ceremony the decided to do a First Look along the Colorado River at one of Shiraz Garden’s epic photo spots, the Amphitheatre!
They also took a few minutes to capture wedding day portraits at the top of Mohan Outlook. You can never have to many portraits when your day is this beautiful!
RECEPCTION
With a guest count under 100 a fun option is a food truck to keep it laid back especially if that food truck is P Terry’s! This cool food truck as been to several smaller events at Shiraz Garden and keeps everyone happy with great burgers, fries and cookies! Food Trucks at weddings hall benefits and hurdles, we’d love to talk to you more about this fun option that is great for Shiraz Garden’s Formal Garden.
GETTING READY
And last but not least — where it all starts — the Bridal Cottage! Sarah had an amazing glam squad with hair and makeup from Lux Beauty and Bridal. Plus, she brought all the best props a bride needs to feel extra special while getting ready. How about that robe?
