Hill Country Wedding Views for the perfect 10/10/20 Wedding

Gwen and Garrison knew one thing when it came to wedding planning: they wanted 10/10/20!

As a new venue, Shiraz Garden still had this amazing wedding anniversary date open when Gwen said “yes!” And started looking for the ultimate Hill Country Wedding venue with this prized date still open. This date wasn’t just cool for this couple though, it was the day the met in college. So, it was important to Gwen to have their wedding on that day and everything else came second.

One thing about Gwen’s day that stood out from the first time we met her was the focus was all on the people. The details weren’t her highest priority. Her guests and and the newlyweds time together was what was most important. This meant strict timelines and “must dos” were limited so that time could be spent on what was important in the moment.

These two college sweet-hearts got married at Sunset Vista surrounded by friends and family. They choose the open “Window” ceremony backdrop, one of three, at Sunset Vista which overlooks the Colorado River and McKinney Roughs Nature Park. The amazing views from this outdoor ceremony location overlooks the Texas Hill Country’s natural beauty without any obstructions like houses or powerlines to distract!

Gwen’s father retired from the Navy this year and she wanted to make sure she had a special moment with him choosing to do a FIRST LOOK with her Farther at the Hidden Staircase! This is such an easy addition to any wedding timeline at Shiraz Garden because this beautiful water feature is right behind the Bridal Cottage. Just a few steps and our brides are right there ready for a first look moment with their father, bridesmaids, or of course groom!
